Documents required to Study in France

- Valid passport with at least 2 blank pages and 3 months validity after stay, plus old passport.
- Passport photocopy (first and last page)
- Long stay visa application form complete, dated, and signed.
- Passport/Travel Document with at least 2 blank pages (face to face) and having a validity of at least 3 months after intended stay + Old passport
- Submit two passport-size photos taken within the last 3 months, with one attached to the application form. See http://www.vfs-france.co.in/photospec.html for specifications.
- A completed and signed OFII attestation (for studies longer than 6 months).
- Admission letter from the school mentioning the duration and the payable fees
- Receipt of at least 50% or full tuition fees.
- Attestation of scholarship: A French Government document certifying the amount and duration of a scholarship.
- CV and Cover letter with the purpose of the trip, duration, sponsors,& motivatio
- Original and copy of latest degree or diploma can be rewritten in one sentence as
- Expenses Statement + Proof of financial status: Updated bank statement(s) with sufficient funds or loan to cover monthly expenses of at least 615€/month (around 45 000 rupees) or 300€/month in case of free accommodation.
- For each sponsor: Social and financial situation letter, ID proof, 3 months bank statement, 3 years ITR, and 3 months payslips/proof of professional situation.
- Proof of accommodation for the first 3 months of your stay.
- When accommodation is provided without any charge by an individual : Undertaking Affidavit by the person and proof of address ID card copy Copy of the property deed or lease agreement Last income tax paper or copy of the family book (livret de famille)
- Campus France letter with registration number (for long stay visa): Official confirmation of your admission to a French educational institution, required to apply for a long-stay student visa to France.
- Three-month travel insurance
- Air ticket booking docs
- Copies of US, UK, and Schengen visas and immigration stamps from the past 5 years.
Requirements to study in France
The European education system grants admission to international students based on their Medium of Instruction Certificate (MOI), but having an IELTS scorecard can enhance your application.
Additionally, students must be prepared to succeed in the university and Campus France interview. This interview primarily assesses your motivations for studying and your language proficiency.
Admission criteria for Indian students seeking to study in French universities can vary from one institution to another.
For undergraduate programs, the fundamental prerequisites include a 10+2 certificate from a recognized board and evidence of English language proficiency test scores.
For postgraduate programs, applicants are typically required to have an undergraduate degree, submit GMAT or GRE scores, provide proof of English proficiency, and demonstrate relevant work experience if applicable.
PhD applicants are expected to hold a master’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
